Casting Call - The Tears of Tendali

These are the people I would choose for the major roles in The Tears of Tendali. This is only for fun, but if any of the actors see this page and want to push for a movie option, please feel free to contact me.

Terrük Bayuul	Cole Sprouse He’s a bit old to play Terrük now, but he’s the sort of actor that would work well, because the role needs a mischievous and energetic boy to play Terrük.
	Janson Panettiere I haven’t actually seen Janson work, but I heard his voice in Ice Age and Robots. He seems like an up-and-comer, so it would be great to land him in the role of Terrük.
Iyelle Bayuul	Dakota Fanning I’ve seen Dakota in a number of movies and she does an incredibly great job with her acting. She’s very convincing and from what I’ve seen of her off-screen, humble.
	Miley Cyrus I’ll admit that I don’t know much about the teen stars in Hollywood, but it seems like Miley could do a good job with Iyelle, and she’s just the right age.
Nhoma Gellstadten	Brad Pitt Nhoma is the leader of the Juadiin, an order of militaristic monks. He’s forty-ish, which would be just right for Brat to play. Plus, he’s an albino, and has white hair and very fair eyes. And Nhoma is a subtle character. He’s strong, perhaps a bit brash, but he’s also introspective and thoughtful. I think Brad would fit the role nicely.
	Paul Bettany I really liked Paul’s work in several films, including A Beautiful Mind and Master and Commander. He’s already played an albino in The Da Vinci Code, so he may be worried about getting typecast, but hey, this is only for fun anyway, right?
Relaneve Dhruvano	Cate Blanchett Cate is one of my all time favorite actresses. I loved her in Lord of the Rings and Veronica Guerrin and Elizabeth.
	Catherine Zeta Jones Catherine is a fine actress, and I think she’d bring a lot to the table for the role of Relaneve.
Udén Kayaas	Judi Dench Judi’s acting prowess is truly impressive, and that’s what this role needs. Udén is a tortured soul, caught between her love for her goddess and her love for the children in her care. It would be wonderful watching Judi interpret those emotions on the screen.
Telia Bayuul	Julianne Moore Julianne is an actress with great range. I’ve seen quite a few of her movies over the years and I think she would do justice to the role of Telia, mother to Terrük and Iyelle.
Guarrundi	Hugh Jackman This role is somewhat the foil to Nhoma. It needs someone who can play a sort of feral character, which Hugh Jackman, aka Wolverine, could certainly pull off.
King Thalen Aristine	George Clooney The King in this story is in his late forties, and he’s a handsome bloke, so I think George would fit the role nicely. He’s also a great actor. I’ve liked a lot of his stuff, most recently Michael Clayton and Syriana.
