Cover Reveal! The German version of With Blood Upon the Sand

I’ve just been given the go-ahead to share my latest cover, this one from Droemer Knaur in Germany. I always get a kick out of the different takes various publishers have on my books. This one, I have to say, is also pretty satisfying. It’s a great piece of artwork.

Zorn der Asirim

The title, Der Zorn der Asirim, translates roughly to The Wrath of the Asirim. The asirim, for those unfamiliar, are the mummy-like creatures in the books that play a pivotal role in the history of the Kings, of Sharakhai, and of Çeda and her mother as well. The series title, Die Legenden der Bernstainstadt, translates to The Legend of the Amber City. Kind of cool, no?

Here’s the first cover, by the way, for comparison.

I like the way they’re headed with back shots of Çeda and the desert or Sharakhai. I can’t wait to see all of them side by side one day!
