Twelve Kings in Sharakhai makes Amazon’s 2015 Best Books of the Year!

I was pinged on Twitter yesterday about a list Amazon had just put up. Each year, they choose the best 20 books in a number of different categories, like Mysteries and Thrillers, Romance, Young Adult, Children’s Books…and Science Fiction and Fantasy.

I had actually seen someone post a link to the list earlier in the day, but I wrote it off, figuring I wouldn’t have made the list. But lo and behold, Twelve Kings in Sharakhai was there! Naomi Novik took top honors with Uprooted, a book I’m really eager to read. But there are a ton of other wonderful books by some great authors, like George Martin, Chuck Wendig, Paolo Bacigalupi, Jim Butcher, Ann Leckie, Ian Tregillis, and plenty more. I’m not going to lie. It feels pretty great to be on a list with those fine folks.

You can check out the full list here.

Congratulations! It’s very much deserved. I absolutely fell in love with the characters, setting, and story. Recently I’ve found it hard to get into stories/books but Twelve Kings totally engrossed me and is now one of my favorites. Thank you for the magical experience!
