Announcing the Winners of the Twelve Kings ARC Contest!

This was the first time I’ve done a contest like this. I’ll admit I was nervous because I wasn’t sure how receptive people would be to it. But honestly? It was really a blast. I’m definitely going to do this again, likely when Book 2 comes out.

Ah, but we’re here to announce winners, yes? So, without further ado, here we go.

The winner of the Second Prize is Adam Selby-Martin. Adam sent in the following cute and creative picture of desert critters. I love how The Winds of Khalakovo is nestled so lovingly between them, with the lion and tiger apparently scrapping for the right to get to read it first.

Adam wins the following:

  • ARC of Twelve Kings in Sharakhai
  • Lest Our Passage Be Forgotten & Other Stories
  • A copy of Time Traveled Tales, which contains my story, “Parting the Clouds”

The winner of the First Prize is Nick V. Reys (@ThePaperDragon). I love the wind blowing over the desert, the unrelenting sun, and the sandship peaking from around the edge of the castle walls. Well done, Nick!

Nick wins the following:

  • ARC of Twelve Kings in Sharakhai
  • Complete set of The Lays of Anuskaya trade paperbacks
    • The Winds of Khalakovo
    • The Straits of Galahesh
    • The Flames of Shadam Khoreh
  • Lest Our Passage Be Forgotten & Other Stories

And finally, the Grand Prize goes to Jazz Laforge. The deep blues of the sky and the walls and the harshness of the landscape really spoke to me. I love the oasis as well. It’s a nice encapsulation of Sharakhai, and even more impressive as Jazz hasn’t yet read the book!

Thank you, everyone, for spreading the word and for entering the contest. This was a ton of fun.
