Early art sketches of The Flames of Shadam Khoreh

As I did with Adam Paquette for The Winds of Khalakovo and Todd Lockwood for The Straits of Galahesh, I asked Aaron J. Riley is he’d be interested in sending me early sketches of the cover art for The Flames of Shadam Khoreh. Aaron graciously agreed and sent me a few early pieces. These are less a progression than early brainstorming sketches of the eventual work. One, of course, led directly to the final artwork, but it’s still cool to see what the other possibilities looked like.

It’s kind of cool to think that in alternate dimensions, each of these sketches exist as full blown pieces.
