I’ve been plugging away in the background, getting the ARCs ready for The Flames of Shadam Khoreh. The e-ARCs are ready, and now it’s time to get the print ARCs ready. As part of that effort, I need to get the full cover designed. I had the e-cover, which is essentially the front cover of a print version, but I didn’t have the spine and back cover work done yet. I’ve been plugging away, working to get the back copy to read nicely (and enticingly!), as well as incorporating the logo I worked up a while back.
Well, without further ado, here’s what I have so far.
Obviously this is still a touch preliminary. I need to eventually removed the “Advanced Reader Copy” image and put in some quotes, plus the barcode for the ISBN, but I think the basic design is there. And I like it quite a bit. It’s attractive to the eye (to my eye, at least).
How about your eye, though? Any thoughts?
UPDATE: I’ve altered the Advanced Reading Copy image after some great advice from Jefferson Smith. Thanks, Jefferson!

Awesome stuff, Brad. Great job.
Thanks, Abhinav!
It’s got such a classic look to it. But my favorite thing is the BB logo. It’s so Tolkienesque.
That’s *exactly* what I was shooting for. Thanks!
Btw, it’s quite small, but did you notice the P in there as well?
I think the cover looks great.
Thanks, Ryan!
Love the cover art and the BB logo!
Thanks, Steve! See if you can see the full “BPB” in the logo. It’s subtle, but it’s there…
Advanced and not Advance reading copy?
And I see another time jump is in store.
Good catch, Paul. Thanks. And yes, a bit of a leap before the fun begins…
