Update on Lest Our Passage Be Forgotten: Stories and Interior Artwork…

By  |  2 Comments

The work on Lest Our Passage Be Forgotten continues. I posted the draft for “Unearthed” a little over a week ago, and I’ve received feedback from several backers. Thanks so much for your thoughts. For anyone who wants to get in on it, I’m going to leave the story up for another few days only. I’ll close the post down this Friday, February 8th, so if you’d like to take a sneak peek, please do so before then. And if you have any more feedback, I’d love to hear it.

The second story, “To the Towers of Tulandan,” is nearly done. I’m about 1,000 words away, I think. This ended up being longer than I had anticipated. It’s 10,000 words now, and it’ll probably run about 12,500 by the time I’m done. I know, my math doesn’t look very good, but while I’m about 1,000 words away from the end of the first draft, I’m sure I’m going to add more, because I glossed over a few sections earlier in the story.

I’ve yet to start the third story, but that’s next on my agenda. I expect that one to go faster, but we’ll just see how it turns out.

Interior art! The effort continues, with the artist, Evgeni Maloshenkov, continuing to create wonderful pieces for each story. I have three more pieces to share with you, one of which is for “Unearthed.” See if it matches your expectations while you were reading!

It is always very interesting to see the collaboration between a writer and an artist and the result here is wonderful. Evgeni Maloshenkov has done some attractive art pieces, I can’t wait to see the final result. The book will definitely look great. :)

Thanks! Yeah, I’m very pleased with Evgeni’s work. I like the scratchy style he’s chosen to use. It makes things a bit more raw, which is a cool effect.
