The reviews for Strata, the dystopian sci-fi thriller I wrote with Steve Gaskell, have been rolling in, and they’ve been universally positive. Here’s a recap of how it’s been received:
“A twisted, fast-paced SF novella.”
— Fantasy Book Critic
“Intelligent science fiction.”
— Risingshadow.net
“The conceit of mixing solar engineering with a revolution … is an inspired mix.”
— Paul Weimer, SkySeaStone.net
“Like all good speculative fiction, Strata is as much about now as it is about the future and Beaulieu and Gaskell do a tremendous job of making that connection. ”
— A Staffer’s Musings
I’m so pleased that Strata has been received as well as it has. I always believed in the story, but it’s nice to see it being embraced where the rubber meets the road (if you’ll excuse the mixed metaphors).

It was my (reading) pleasure.
Thanks for the read, Paul. (Note to self: install Like button on own website…)
I notice that Strata is available for the kindle in the US.
In Canada, the main ebook provider is kobo (http://www.kobobooks.com/). Listings also show up on the Chapters.ca website, the major book chain in Canada.
Any chance you might release strata on kobo format?
Strata looks interesting and I would mind giving it a read..
There are over 34 million of us Canadians here, so we are not exactly a tiny market..
Cheers,
Ryan
Yes, Kobo is in the works. They have a rather archaic sign-up process (done mostly through email for some reason). Hopefully I can get it uploaded there within the next week or two. I’ll announce something when that happens. Thanks for the note!
