The Crimson Pact Vol. 1 Released to the Wilds Today
Over the past half-year or so, my friends, Paul Genesse, Steven Saus, and Patrick Tracy have pulled together a great anthology called The Crimson Pact. Today is the release day for the anthology. You can find out more at their website: TheCrimsonPact.com.
Paul acted as the editor for this anthology, and he's pulled together quite a list of authors. It includes stories by Paul Genesse, Patrick M. Tracy, Barbara J. Webb, Kelly Swails, Sarah Hans, Patrick S. Tomlinson, Donald J. Bingle, Richard Lee Byers, Jess Hartley, Sarah Kanning, Isaac Bell, Chris Pierson, Elaine Blose, Kathy Watness, Daniel Myers, Justin Swapp, Rebecca L. Brown, Gloria Weber, Garrett Piglia, T.S. Rhodes, Lester Smith, Chanté McCoy, Suzzane Myers, EA Younker, Craig Nybo, and Larry Correia.
From the Crimson Pact website:
The Crimson Pact is a human endeavor to stop forces of personified evil known originally as the Demons of Rusted Vale. While the Crimson Pact was originally masterminded by these evil forces to allow them to spread throughout the multiverse (see "The Failed Crusade"), many of the remaining men and women of the Pact sacrificed their lives so their spirits could follow the Demons and continue to fight against them.
The Demons of Rusted Vale are entities that are chaotic evil in the purest sense. They destroy for the sake of destroying. They are also ruthlessly intelligent, scheming, and able to plan in order to bring about higher amounts of chaos. As they dispersed throughout the multiverse, they estimated that they would be able to conquer other worlds with only a few demons per world. They're not wrong. Some can "pass" as human, others not. It is unclear whether they are "truly" demons, aliens, extraplanar lifeforms, or something else. These guys are simply bad, no matter your cultural point of view.
