Story sale to Beneath Ceaseless Skies!

I've just sold "From the Spices of Sanandira" to Beneath Ceaseless Skies. I've been watching BCS for quite some time now — what they like to print is exactly what I like to write — and though I've been pretty busy with the novels lately, I was terribly excited when Scott Andrews asked if I'd be interested in making a few tweaks to the story. I was, and I did, and then after a few more passes, Scott agreed to buy it.

I'm very proud of this story. It's got a strong Thousand and One Nights flavor to it. I'd like to some day write a novel or a series of novels set in this world, or one very much like it. For now, though, we have Spices, which is a story about two men, a voiceless orphan they've raised, and their shared history of shame and pain that was born in the desert.

The story should appear early next year-ish, but I'll post more once I hear a more definite publication date.
